Abby's Tinkerbell Birthday Party
Wow, time flies! Our little spunky, talkative, sweet, loveable, creative, helpful, beautiful, independent, smart, funny, Abby is 5 already..:( This year Abby and I had a hard time deciding what theme she would do for her party. We started out with Disney princess, then we thought Doc McStuffins would be fun, after visiting the Disney store we thought maybe a Minnie Mouse party would be a good party theme. We thought of a couple more but, then I decided I would just take her to the Party store and she could pick out her theme. We wandered and she finally decided on Tinkerbell. I started working on it towards the end of April to give me plenty of time to have it done by her birthday in June. She was counting down the days until her party and couldn't wait for her friends to come celebrate with her. We started out the party by letting the little girls pick out a set of wings and wands hanging on the wall and the boys were given a sword to mimic Peter Pan. They were then told the Fairies had hidden their party favors so they had to go on a hunt to find them. They had 10 clues taking them all over until they finally found their boxes of goodies. We also did a pinata which has become a favorite activity for my kids parties. We ordered a bounce house for them to jump in as well. We had lunch which consisted of; flower sandwiches, tinkerbell fruit snacks, and butterfly snack mix and raisins. Parker had discussed with me the day before the party he didn't want to be part of the fairy party so, we decided he would be in charge of the games..:) I guess putting on a pair of fairy wings didn't appeal to him...*shrug*... oh well. The weather was perfect that day and the kids all seemed to enjoy themselves. It turned out to be a great party..:)
