Canada Trip.....Part 1

So I'm finally getting around to posting the pic's from our Canada trip. Our reasoning for going up to Canada was because Brad's family was having a Family Reunion at the Farm. We were gone almost a week and had lots of activities planned not only with his family, but also with our little family. Our first adventure was going up to Waterton Lakes National Park. The last time we had been up there I was pregnant with Parkie so it had been awhile for us. We thought the kids would have fun going on a hike and seeing all there is to see up there. We got there about lunch time so we stopped at a little Bistro to have a quick bite. I don't exactly remember what I ordered ,but it was really good!( I do remember that much :)) After lunch we decided to go on a hike up the mountain. Parkie did really well as usual and I had to take about 20 breaks on my way up. Seeing the view from the top was all worth the aches, pains, and sweat ( err..I mean I was glowing). We sat at the top for awhile until we felt we could make it back down. I had to keep up with Parkie so I ended up getting ahead of Brad and Abby. Parkie and I reached the bottom before they did so we waited what seemed like forever. Once I saw Brad coming out of the woods walking crouched over and Abby sleeping I knew why it had taken so long :)

After returning from Waterton Abby really wanted to see the Cows so........we took the Quads and went to look at the Cows...:)

Fair Oaks Farm

While down in Indiana we all decided to take a trip to Fair Oaks Farm. It was so cool, they had many activities you could do. They had a kids play area which had little tractors kids could drive, a giant pillow bouncer,a magnetic climbing wall, a choo choo train, and a few other things. They also had a birthing barn where you could sit and watch baby calves being born. We walked in right after a calf was born so the mother was busy cleaning her baby. The "Cheese factory" had windows you could watch cheese being made.They also had a little cafeteria where you could order fresh ice cream and yummy fresh cheese grilled cheese sandwiches. We also took a trip on the cow bus to go see the farm where they kept all the cows. We were the only ones on the bus so it was nice that we got all the attention and were able to go at our own pace. One of the kids favorite things to do was to drive the little tractors. It was a fun day to be had by all :)

Kids Day

As a kid I can remember asking my parents "If there is a Fathers and a Mothers day, when is kids day?" My parents gave the same response that I'm sure ever parent has given and that was, "Everyday is Kids Day" to which I would give a sigh and wonder why they would always say that. As a parent I now understand it but, the past week we really did do a kids day with Parkie, Abby and their cousins. We started out by going to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch and headed over to the Albanese Candy Factory for Dessert :) I let Parkie and Abby pick out one treat each and I may have picked out a treat for myself :)I couldn't help but think of the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (one of my all time fav's btw) when I walked in and saw the chocolate stream of goodness flowing down from the ceiling. They do allow you to watch candy being made through windows ,but they don't allow pic's .........bummer :( So anyway, this was our second adventure on our kid's day celebration...

I must note that Parkie had a terrible accident the day before on his bike which resulted in an ER visit.......poor Parkie :( His face looks a little rough in these pic's.
