Parkie turns 9!

4th of July

This year for the 4th we stayed here in MN. I was a bit disapointed so we tried to do the things we would normally do when we go down to Indiana.The day stared with Brad taking the kids to the church for a 4th of July breakfast and bike ride.We found a parade in Delano MN and if turned out to be similiar to the parade we attend back home. I had made the kids treat cans to munch on during the parade. Abby loved it and Parkie was well, not as impressed with it. Abby loved the marching bands and turned her can upside down and used hers as a drum to mimic the drummers in the parade..:) We stayed at the parade until we could no longer stand the heat. I ended up stripping Lilly down because she was so hot :( poor Lillybug. We ended up going to KFC for lunch which helped me feel closer to home..:) We then came home to cool down and I decided to try out a cake I found on pinterest. Grandma and Grandpa invited us over to their house for a BBQ and after that we went home to light off fireworks. Our neighbors asked if they could bring over their fireworks so the kids could have fun watching them together. It wasn't the same as going home but, we ended up having a great 4th of July...:)
